Love your call on Eric Byrnes – great call out of current gritty platers that have made teams successful….but how about a shout out to the last great gritty Mets – Lenny Dykstra, Gary Carter and Wally Backman.

I loved your posts illustrating the “last-chance” redemption between the Puerto Rico blowout and the upcoming Netherlands game.
Concerning Pudge Rodriguez, as a Tigers fan, I wish Detroit would have picked him up again; yet at the same time, I accept the fact that it’s not going to happen.
Great articles!

In the spirit of the name of this blog, I encourage you to check out my new book “Chasing Moonlight: The True Story of Field of Dreams’ Doc Graham.”
As the title suggests, the book is a biography of Doc Graham, the loveable old doctor from the movie who played in one major league game for the New York Giants without getting to bat. It’s a fascinating story of a man who really was too good to be true.
Check out my website for more info on the book. You can find it at any Barnes & Noble or on line at amazon.com.
Thanks,
Brett Friedlander

‘The Ghost of Moonlight Graham’ is the kind of blog name that only a TRUE fan of baseball could come up with! Informative and insightful stuff! Well, I gotta go, my wife’ll think I’m cheating on her…

Well, I know little about baseball and could care less about it, but it is nice to see someone being thorough about something they love. I do always appreciate a reference to the dead, however, even if fictional.
